Description: Part 1: "From a wheelchair, then to a walker, a cane and finally walking, — free from constant pain— by handling false laws through the radical reliance on Christian Science" Ellie Steele, C.S., shares her story of challenge and the initial suggestion to "give up" to the radical reliance on Truth which led to her healing. She takes us step by step through handling mortal "laws", reversing animal magnetism, some steps in healing and the sure foundation of Christian Science so that we can stand up and be counted.
Part 2: Fear and chaos are in the news and on social media: COVID, lockdowns, business and church closings, vaccines, cancel culture, political and racial unrest. Christianity is even in the cross-hairs. In this environment some Christian Scientists have felt the need to innocently bow down to mortal mind — but we CAN stand up and be counted! The purpose of this talk is to expose error and reveal the healing Christ, Truth. Mrs. Eddy states: “To put down the claim of sin, you must detect it, remove the mask, point out the illusion, and thus get the victory over sin and so prove its unreality.” (S&H p. 447:20-24-27) Detect the lie but never try to change it or fix it, the truth is the power in thought and action. This is what we'll be talking about today. When the beliefs and false claims are revealed, divine Love is always present, uplifting thought to the realization that God, Love is all.
Ellie Steele, C.S. came into Christian Science through the healing of an incurable disease in 1970. She took Primary Class instruction and became a Journal-listed practitioner in 1976. Ellie was a Chaplain in prison work for 10 years. She was also on the Board of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation organization in her community for 5 years. She has given talks for other denominations and organizations as well as the Association address for her Christian Science Association where she is also on the Board of the Executive Committee. Ellie's love for God, Jesus, the Bible and Christian Science shines through in everything she does. She tells us: "I love sharing this joy and love — love for both God and man — that's what its all about!"
