Description: Ten-week course on the major prophets Elijah and Elisha, meeting once per week on Zoom. Instructor: Patti May Cangiano-Parsons, C.S., Ph.D. This course rests firmly on the Bible passages concerning these two great prophets on the basis of the Science of Christianity as fully explained in Mary Baker Eddy’s, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Participants will be led to make spiritual discoveries through study of the Word, conscious that “Mind is its own interpreter” active in each one of us. This ten-week course supersedes mere academics; its intent and development rest on the scientific, spiritual, and inspirational for the purpose of promoting spiritual growth, bringing healing, and demonstrating man’s God-given dominion. It is therefore dedicated to glorifying our dear Father-Mother God through the works that naturally follow the enlightenment of the Christ in consciousness.

Students will receive a syllabus assigning recommended readings and powerful journaling ideas that will promote healing and demonstration in their lives.

Patti May Cangiano-Parsons, CS, PhD - After over 20 years of practice as a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner, and ten years on the Board of Lectureship, Patti May has continued in her practice of Christian Science healing and active participation in church as First Reader, currently residing in south Florida. Patti May earned a Masters’ Degree from East Carolina University in Multicultural-Transnational Literature, followed by a Ph.D. in Divinity from Atlantic Coast Seminary with a focus on the narratology of the Scriptures, concluding with a dissertation based on the allusions found in the book of Revelation, their spiritual import, and practicality today. Her 4.0 GPA in both her Masters’ and Doctorate demonstrate the presence and effective manifestation of divine Mind in individual experience. Mary Baker Eddy writes, “Academics of the right sort are requisite.” (Science an Health, p. 577)
